Personal Statement

My goal since as long as I can remember is to go to the Olympics. My passions were in swimming, track, gymnastics and dance for a long time. Over the past while, I’ve narrowed my focus to swimming and track because of my love of not only performing, but my love of racing, the thrill of competing, and the energy and fulfillment it brings me to support my teammates and achieve my own goals along side them. I bring energy, compassion, motivation, and encouragement to my team. Pushing each other to achieve our goals while building long lasting friendships and life skills are just a few of the reasons I swim. I get up at 5 am to swim with a smile. I hope to continue to pursue this dream during my college years with a Team that I can do these same things with. As Michael Phelps puts it so well, “Don’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the further you get.”
