My love for swimming started at a very young age, I began to swim before I knew how to walk. I made my way into the world of competitive swimming at the age of eleven. I joined the Windsor Essex Swim Team and instantly knew this sport would be by my side for a lifetime. As a member of the Windsor Essex Swim Team I have received awards like Third Overall Highest Points at a regional competition, Most Competitive, Most Improved, three time recipient of Most Dedicated and President of the team.
I push my limits at every practice, whether it be at 5:30 in the morning or 7:00 at night. When it comes to training in and out of the water, I pay very close attention to my technique. The smallest details are very important to me. I believe if it doesn’t challenge me, it won’t change me.
Although swimming is very important to me, so are my academics. I maintain honour roll throughout my semesters. Continuing to keep my education at a level of honours is a major priority to me. I am also an active member on student government, I am recognized as “Grade Representative”. I also volunteer my time to two local swim teams; Special Olympics and Essex Surge. Teaching children and adults is one of my passions, I enjoy sharing my love of the sport to others. It’s one one of my weekly commitments that I wouldn’t change for the world.
I am fully committed to working hard in and out of the water and I am extremely excited to see what the future holds.
