Every athlete at this level knows that the time commitments are huge and time management is a huge factor that directly correlates with success in everything. As I am in my final year of high school it means finding a new balance between university and my passion for swimming. I am proud of my accomplishments so far and hope to one day represent my country at the olympics and to “own the podium”. Swimming has given me many life skills that have shaped me into the person that I am today. Hearing from younger kids that they want to “be like me” makes me happiest because the very thought that I could impact someone to love this sport like I do makes me smile. What I believe is the “secret to success” is that it is to find a passion that you know you will love for a very long time and to stick with it because in the end you will come out of it a better person who has grown and achieved so much and are always ready to come out on the other side on top. I am the dedicated and determined athlete that I always had hoped I would become and I am excited to see what the future has in store for me.
