My passion for competition was sparked when I began swimming at the age of 8. I quickly became dedicated to improving my technique and speed in the pool. I have been recognized by Windsor Aquatic Club by receiving awards for Coachability, Highest Points, and Most Valuable Female Swimmer. I was also honored by my school team by receiving Top Female Swimmer of the year.
I work hard to stay motivated and help to be a positive member of my school and club teams. I push myself at every practice and celebrate even the small victories. I pay close attention to detail in the pool and try to train in the most efficient way possible. I was selected to represent Windsor, Ontario in the International Children's Games in 2016 and 2017. This gave me the opportunity to travel with my coach to Taiwan and Lithuania. I am proud to have represented Windsor receiving the bronze medal in the 50, 100 and 200 backstroke events.
At school, I maintain a 90% average and have been recognized for Academic Excellence. Performing well at school continues to be a priority. Volunteering my time as a coach for the Special Olympics Swim Team is another one of my passions. My weekly commitment to these swimmers has allowed me the opportunity to share my swimming knowledge in another capacity.
I am committed to continuing to work hard in and out of the water. I want to compete at the highest level and I am open to all possibilities. I am excited about the possibility to swim at a college level and look forward to my future.
