Paige Lyons '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Paige Lyons and I'm a now senior at Bend High School in Bend, Oregon where I will graduate in 2021.  I'm pursuing an International Baccalaureate diploma which is an advanced program of study and I'm holding a 3.8 GPA in the program at this time.  It is my ultimate goal to: a.) pursue a medical degree in veterinary studies and; b.) swim for a competitive and established NCAA program.  

Athletically I'm currently 5' 8" tall and 135# and a member of the Bend Swim Club and have been for the past 6 years, where I have qualified for multiple senior sectional events each of the past 3 seasons.  I'm also an active member of my high school team which won the 5A state title my freshman year and finished 3rd this past year after moving up to the 6A division.  During that season I was named Most Outstanding Swimmer on the team by the coaching staff due to my work ethic, positivity as an encouraging teammate, and scoring the most individual points for our team at the state finals.

  I am an extremely dedicated and disciplined individual and I believe in training relentlessly which is the culture of our club.  I have served on the Bend Swim Clubs board for the past year as the athlete representative and will continue in that position until graduation. Having said that I have learned so much through that role and have gained leadership skills that I feel are very useful which I feel have helped me prepare for college and the leadership skills coaches are looking for in athletes.
