Hello, my name is Chloe Albrecht. I started my career swimming on a local club team called Seahorse Swim team when I was 5 years old. I am following in the footsteps of my father who swam in college and my sister who is the president of her swim club out at the University of Oklahoma.
At 10 years old, I started in USA swimming as an Unattached swimmer where I went to the Middle Atlantic Junior Olympic Championship in 2020 and placed 4th overall in the 50-yard breaststroke. I continued my journey and went into high school swimming for South Western. My swimming career was going great, and then Sophomore year, during Cross Country, I suffered a hip fracture. It took me out of my whole cross-country season and most of the swim season. I became very dedicated to getting back into swimming after my recovery. Swim came around and I had some ups and downs with my times and getting back into my breaststroke. At the Districts meet of 2023, I ended my season with my time at 1:12.01, getting closer to my personal best time of 1:10.77 in the 100 breaststroke.
This past high school season, I was nominated by the swimmers to be one of our high school team captains. I am proud to lead the South Western Swim team. I had begun to bring my times back down and I was committed to going after our school record of 1:07.52. I finished the season with a 1st place finish in YAIAA Championship meet in the 100 Breaststroke with a personal best time of a 1:09.36.
Finally, I look forward to swimming in college for the right school, the right coach, and the right team.
