Alexis Anderson '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexis Anderson and I'm 5'2" and weigh 130lbs. I am 16 and have been swimming competitively since I was 7 years old. My whole life I have always enjoyed being in the water and just loved swimming not only as a sport but a big part of my life. I started swimming for my home club team and switched to swimming for the West Shore YMCA (WSY) when I was 10.  I have worked/practiced hard to get where I am at today, being in high school I still swim for WSY and my high school team (Big Spring) too.  In high school I now the current holder for our school record in the 200 free (2:03.36), 100 fly (1:00.59), and also take part in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay records. For the past two years I have also recieved the sportsmanship award for our team. I always help out other fellow swimmers when they become frustrated or having any other problems with the sport or life in general. 

I am looking to attend a school that can push me both as an athlete and a student. The am looking to major in Physical Therapy. Also, that is  close to home around 2-5 hours away. I would prefer a college in a small town or in the open but no big cities because that's how I grew up as a kid. I am open to any different kind of college too.
