Sophie Shapiro Linde '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophie Shapiro Linde and I'm 17. I am from Rhode Island and attend school online. Additionally, I am also attending duel enrollment at Rhode Island College. I started swimming competitively when I was seven and have been on three swim teams. I do dryland during the summers and swim camp. I am currently swimming for two teams, the East Providence Tidal Waves and RIMA National team. This year at RIMA championships, my team won first place in both groups for the first time in almost 20 years. I am ranked second on my team in my age group. I have been to the New England Championship and BGC National Championships.

Since I attend school online mostly from home, my schedule is flexible and I have time to weight train and run daily. I am also a runner and have completed 5ks and 10ks and am currently training for a half marathon. I run varsity cross country for Hope High School.

In college, I would like to study Pre-Med because I want to work in the medical field in the future. I would also like to swim competitively to advance in my swimming career. I have been a swimmer all my life and I am dedicated to this sport.
