I have grown up and lived in a small town in New England my whole life. I have always taken school seriously and enjoyed my years of swimming on my club team. When the time came to go to high school I had to make the big decision of either staying at my local public school, certainly more convenient and socially more comfortable, or attending a private school. I chose the private school route and started my freshman year at The Prout School. Looking back now as I am in my third year, this was the best choice I could have made. Not only do they offer the International Baccalaureate program which really appealed to my love for higher education, but, they also offered a Division 1 high school swim team, which I know would push me to take my swimming career to the next level. This opportunity that I have been a part of for the last 3 years has made me think differently about both my academic and athletic paths. I feel now more than ever that I am well prepared for the rigor and high demands that come with being a student-athlete at the collegiate level. I look forward to being part of a university where their mission statement is not only aligned with my future goals and lifestyle but where I can be a contributing member of a collegiate swim team.
