When I was younger, I tried so many sports, and I hated all of them. My mom forced me to join the summer league swim team when I was seven, and despite my determination to hate yet another sport, swimming clicked for me. I instantly fell in love with the competition and structure of the sport. I have been swimming for about ten years now, and I have no intention of stopping.
At this point in my life, swimming has given me my closest friends and relationships. It is also my favorite way to stay active and relieve stress from school, which helps me keep my grades up. I cannot imagine going to college and not being part of a swim team. I have overcome a couple injuries and setbacks in my time with the sport, and that has yet to stop me from staying committed. I am so very excited for swimming to gift me with yet another team to compete with.
