Hello!
Thank you for viewing my profile! I am a very dedicated athlete and student. I would like to be a marine biologist because of my love for animals and for my love of the water. I absolutely LOVE swimming. Swimming is life, so why not spend my life on the water taking care of and protecting wildlife. :)
Since the age of seven, I have practiced my fins off. I am currently on the UV Rays club national team, we train 6 days days per week with several sessions per day. This means I get to spend five hours per day in the pool with my best friends and coaches. Summer training is the best.
My first sectional cut came at the age of 13. My father said I could swim at the Senior Zones meet in Hawaii if I made the time. He thought he was safe because I was a full sixteen seconds of a qualifying time. Ha, I made the cut and made the trip. I guess you can say that I love to compete with the best. I swim my best in big meets which I enjoy attending. I am currently top ranked in all of Utah in both breast stroke events for the 15+ age group. I am currently 15 years old, so I hope to keep that spot all the way to Nationals.
My favorite events are the breast stroke, IM, butterfly, free, and backstroke, in that order. I love long course as I am very fast in the water. Because I am still growing, my times will continue to drop as I get stronger, especially off the wall. I am a late grower so watch out as I continue to drop time.
As a freshman, I did not lose any races I entered until the state finals where I placed 5th. I did not have my best swim that day, but I was the only freshman to make the podium. I was excited to swim with such fast swimmers. I was also able to beat the all-time Orem HS record a few weeks before. The record was 24 years old. As a team, we also set the all-time medley in the medley relay. I am excited for the next three high-school swimming years to come.
I take my academics very seriously and am able to balance my time with school, swim, and family. I strive for perfect grades while taking difficult classes. I will continue to study and work hard so that I am prepared for the next level of school.
Recruit me! I will be a huge asset to your team!
