Swimming has played a huge roll in my life since I was very young. It's helped me connect with my family, and given me life long friends. Swimming has taught me how to deal disappointment by turning it into motivation for the future. I have learned things won't always come easily and hard work and persistence pays. Jumping into the pool puts me in a different mindset, helping me clear the cobwebs, especially after a hard day. The team bonding and the atmosphere of the pool is something I will never forget and I hold very dear to my heart. I feel I have yet to reach my full potential. While backstroke is my favorite stroke, as an IM swimmer, I feel I am not pigeon-holed into one disciple. I want to swim for the love and joy I get out of the sport, for the team atmosphere, for the clarity swimming gives me, and of course the little bubbles when you jump in!
Swimming competitively in college will also give me insight to the needs of athletes as I pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I think it is important to understand the and goals of my clients, and how I can help them achieve their desired results.
Below, I have listed more of my times.
