My interest in these STEM topics has stemmed from my upbringing, as my father and many of my relatives are in the computer science career. After my maternal grandparents had an accident in my eleventh grade, leading to one dying and the other being disabled, I wanted to go into medicine and AI to help my grandfather live his life more comfortably. However, I want to continue my commitment to swimming as it has been such an influential part of my upbringing, being not only just a way to keep fit but also a way to develop connections with others. Furthermore, swimming has also been a way for me to learn from new experiences and develop skills such as maintaining a healthy diet, time management, mental toughness, embracing failures, and reflection. As such, I would like to continue learning lessons to prepare myself for the future and continue being a part of this wonderful, supportive community.
