I have high modivation to work always to keep my grades up and challenging myself in classes that may be out of my comfort zone. I've proved to my teachers and coaches that I'm very adaptable to the environment I'm in. I have moved a couple of times in my life, and I believe that really helped me adapt to different places much easier. I love working with others, connecting with them, and I have gained much experience as a junior coach and lifeguard. I am currently working under my coach as a junior coach for some of the younger swimmers on my team to help them achieve their own goals in swimming. I'm passionate about what I do with the kids, and even they have taught me things about myself. Outside of the pool, I've always loved science, chemistry, and the human brain. I'm looking towards pursuing a future connection with opportunities to work in fields that relate to those studies. I've struggled with anxiety and would someday love to understand the complexness of disorders such as it. Both with studies and swimming, I am dedicated to learn and improve on myself. I've learned more and more about myself and discovering ways to get to my full potential as a student and athlete. While balancing these important aspects of my life, it's important to keep my relationships strong with the people who support me in my journey. Over the years, I have also been taught it takes more than a want to do something. You have to make a commitment and not back out of it because it gets hard. I believe I would be a good candidate to consider for a college-level swim team with my ability to have tenacity in both academics and the pool.
