Growing up, I was always active. I had five older brothers so I had no choice. I think I played every sport offered in our community's Parks & Recreation program by the time I entered junior high, from swim to soccer. The summer before I entered junior high I discovered tennis & I knew I found the sport I wanted to pursue. It has been my goal since then to be able to play tennis at the collegiate level & I'm certain I have prepared for it. Not only do I play tennis, but I still managed the stress of being a part of our high school band & taking multiple AP & honor courses, passing my junior year with an average GPA of 4.3. I understand the importance of time management & I know better than to waste someone's time. If I'm on the courts then I'm 100% on the courts. My other goal is to become a physical therapist so that I can make a personal difference in someone's life, working one on one to their recovery. I also have personal experience with physical therapy. My senior year I tore my meniscus and was in and out of physical therapy for nine months. As a result of my injury I decided to stay at my local community college, but my goals have not changed. If anything, I am more determined to play at the collegiate level. Next year I will play at Imperial Valley College for the 2016-2017 season and I hope to transfer after that.
