Winning The Sunshine League two years in a row as a sophomore and junior, and making it to sectionals of the CIF Sunshine League in Southern California was the highlight of my high school career. As a junior, and a part of the girls varsity tennis team we made it to Mission League as well. As a team, we put in a lot of time and work to get where we are today. This experience taught me to be determined and dedicate myself to a goal and not rest until I have reached it. By doing so, I have greatly perfected my tennis and will continue to do so, while working hard in school.
I have recently been selected Spirit Commissioner of Student Council because of my enthusiasm, energy, creative ideas and ability to get along with all kinds of people. During the tennis season also, I was given the award of most spirited because of my constant encouragement and support for my teammates. I am also a part of Link Crew, a club which helps new freshmen or transfers integrate themselves into our school community and get to know our students better.
Because of my positive attitude towards hard work I know I can continue to succeed academically and athletically. Through determination and perseverance, which tennis has taught me, I will to continue to do well in every aspect of my life and look forward to the challenges of college academics and competitive tennis.
