Before entering HS, I played club softball for 4 years and decided I would like to try my hand at tennis. I began taking lessons and made the HS JV team my freshman year. I immediately fell in love with the feel of tennis and have immersed myself in the sport ever since. Although I have played on the JV team for 3 years, I earned a Santiago Varsity Letter through my determination at USTA sanctioned tournaments. Over the years, I have grown into a teammate that others on the team look to for guidance, organization, and inspiration. After taking on a leadership role for the JV this year, my team voted me most inspirational, showing me that they appreciated my role on the team. In addition to tennis, I remain committed to my academics and community service. I have enrolled in honors and AP classes throughout my HS career and have maintained a 3.9+ GPA all while participating in tennis, academic and religious school clubs as well as doing volunteer work in the community. I look forward to attending college in a place where I can continue to serve my team, my school, and my community.
Update: I am excited to announce that I will be attending BELMONT UNIVERSITY in the Fall 2021.
