My name is Gabby and I've been playing tennis for roughly two and a half years. I started playing because my brother inspired me as he played for 4 years during high school. I began in 2021 during COVID which was really hard for me and the team as the season should have begun in 2020. Since I didn't really have a freshman season, I trained really hard during the summer before the next season starts. I quickly took the number 1 singles spot and continued to train on and off the court through my junior year. Since then, I've dreamed of playing college tennis even though it's really late for me to start. My plan is to study nuclear engineering or music while pursuing my love for tennis. I am very good at prioritizing correctly, which makes me an excellent candidate. No matter how hard my classes become, I always prioritize keeping my straight A's while staying on top of my game. My current coach really stresses how much of a mental game tennis is and how important self discipline is. Thus, I believe that my mentality and self discipline has definitely improved over time. My biggest asset to any team would be my ability to overcome any obstacle on and off the court and to handle pressure.
