Sophie Szeder '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophie Szeder. I have been playing since I was 7 years old as my mom grew up playing tennis and wanted to pass it on to me! I have also loved this sport and want to help other children learn and discover their passion for tennis. For this reason, I am fortunate enough to teach children tennis and even help direct green dot tournaments and help out with my local UTR/USTA tournaments. Besides tennis, I have also found a passion for organizing and leading, I have joined my school's ASB Leadership class where I have been given the opportunity to plan many events for our student population to raise school spirit and bring the community together. During this past midterm election of 2022, I helped campaign for my local city council member. These leadership positions and opportunities have thought me a lot about myself, how I am able to serve my part in my community, and how I can have a passion for tennis off the courts too.
