2022 Highlights Personal Statement
Going into the next chapter in my life, I would like to continue playing tennis at the collegiate level, while also studying to be a speech pathologist/ therapist. During the time I spent in the Philippines, my grandma wanted me to be more active, so she introduced me to tennis when I was 8. I moved back to the United States at the start of middle school. Living in a small town with very few tennis coaches and tennis opportunities, I have to travel for a total of 3 hours each week for coaching. Not only do I work hard and try to do my best on court, but I also push myself to be the best version of myself academically. I am always eager to learn, dedicated, hardworking and passionate about the things I love to do.

The head coach for this D1 university was so welcoming and so friendly and her tennis team all had a personalized approach and gave you realistic coaching and what you can do to play better.
