I have been playing tennis since I was nine years old. I have been playing almost every day since then and I have always loved playing. Ever since I first stepped onto the court, I fell in love with the game. Since then, my dream has always been to play competitive tennis and throughout the years I have learned that hard work, effort, and determination, are what is needed to succeed.
I have a great work ethic. Along with that, I am a team leader and have always set a good example for the rest of my peers, on and off the court. I am a great encourager and try to offer positive motivation to my teammates as well. Effort is what I am known for, and my belief in giving 150% has always been my priority. This includes in the classroom, on the court, and with my friends.
In the classroom, I study very hard and withhold a 4.0 GPA. My mindset is to attend a college where I can challenge myself both academically and with tennis. I would ultimately like to find the college that is the best fit for me, academically and athletically. With these things said, I desire to play at the highest level possible, positively impacting myself and the college I choose. Above all else, I aspire to become a successful student, athlete, and role model.
Sincerely,
Athena Wardy
