Hi! My name is Mekeila Erspamer, a current member of the Women's Apache Tennis team at Tyler Junior College. I had an excellent season with TJC being undefeated in singles and fortunate enough to be apart of the National winning Division I Junior College team. My goal is to play Division I, so that I can stay competing at a high level of tennis and continuously improve my game. After a gruesome year of recovery from ligament tears in both my ankles, I made the decision to take a year off after high school to heal up, and better my tennis. After seeing all my options for universities I decided that I needed more time to improve and work on specific aspects of my game by going the junior college route. I am set on studying radio/tv and film production with a desire of pursuing a career in sports entertainment. I am a good candidate for a Division I collegiate tennis team because I work very well on a team, I work hard no matter the circumstances, I have a lot of passion for the sport, and I have well-developed leadership skills. I am different from other recruits because I have a lot of heart for the things I set mind to, and regardless of the countless obstacles I have had to endure in my tennis career, I will always keep fighting and bounce back to do what I love. I am always interested in the well-being of others, and have a tremendous amount of spirit and passion for team sports. I have a natural athleticism and fight hard for every point I play. I will not disappoint my future coaches because I work hard, follow directions, take corrections well and simply just love the game. I am eager to see what level I can take my tennis to, and also eager to see where my home for the next two years will be. Thank you so much for your time and for checking out my page, I really appreciate it!
