Beginning freshman year of high school was a daunting experience for me. I was afraid that it would take a long time for me to adapt to the changes that high school brought, as well as making new friends. When I joined the tennis team I realized how many social doors were opened for me, being #1 on the team. I was a leader and remained that way all through my high school tennis career. Before high school, nobody knew about my abilities on the court, and freshman year gave the recognition that had made my prior years of tennis all worth it. After having played several USTA tournaments and practicing every day, my schoolmates finally knew who I was and what made me the person that I am. This experience gave me the confidence that I needed to continue pursuing my goals in tennis and academics. I have been consistent with my grades and am now an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate. My motivation in school has not wavered, and I have big dreams for college and my career in medicine in the future. I know I am a great fit for your team because of my work ethic, leadership qualities, and passion for the game of tennis.
