Brooklynn Purcell '26 Recruiting Profile

I was first introduced to tennis when I was about nine years old through a girl scout event that was happening at a local gym in my hometown. After I participated I ended up loving the sport and asked both of my parents to continue signing me up for lessons. Now, fast forwarding seven years later, I've accomplished more than I originally thought I would. I've played in multiple tournaments, won some medals, and earned spots on varsity both in my freshman and current sophomore year. I didn't realize how much of a mental game tennis was until this time, and at first it was a struggle. But I've learned to hone in on my mental toughness, whether that be from adapting to different playing styles or staying focused during crucial points. Tennis has honestly become such a key role in my life; its developed into more than a sport and I want to witness how far it takes me. My goals, as of collegiately, is to bring this same dedication and mindset to a team that support the same values and more.
