Sophia Padro '25 Recruiting Profile

I come from a very close-knit, supportive family, and I place high value on friendships, communicating and growing within a community. People know me as a hard worker and reliable team player with a great sense of humor. My highest UTR so far was 5.35, and I went 19-3 during my Freshman season in high school, playing #2 Singles. I am always positive, attentive to others' needs and fiercely competitive on the court. My footwork is one of my strengths. Having been coached primarily by my father, I have grown accustomed to playing outdoors in all conditions and temperatures. This dynamic has also added to my mental and physical toughness. I am still growing as a player. I maintain a fresh outlook each time I step onto the court. I hope to be playing and enjoying tennis well into the future. I also take academics very seriously and enjoy being challenged by the courses offered at North Haven High School. In college, I would be eager to explore and contribute to various clubs and activities that help enrichen the campus and enhance the school's culture. I am also interested in psychology, theatre and dance.
