When I attend college I plan on majoring in Forensic Science with a minor in Psychology and Criminal Justice. My hope is to competitively compete with other teams, challenge myself, and create bonds with my teammates while playing at the DII or DIII level. Although I only started playing tennis a few years ago I instantly fell in love with the sport and all that comes with it. I am a very coach-able player that can take any criticism that is thrown at me and use it to better my playing. I am very encouraging to my teammates and do not shy away from helping others when they need it. I portray great aspects of organization and time management so that my academics and sports are well balanced and both receive the same amount of attention needed for me to excel at the topic. One characteristic that sets me apart from other athletes is that I am a quick learner. Arriving on the tennis team my freshman year with no prior experience (since my town does not have a feeder program), I knew I wasn't the best but with dedication and help I could become just that. I saw that my team was struggling and my love for the sport/my teammates persuaded me to get private lessons and start playing in tournaments so that I could become better and benefit not only myself but also the others around me. My academics are also another representation of my dedication towards something I care about. Although I am not a genius at all topics, I take great use of my resources (whether that may be teachers or other peers) so that I can understand the topic to my best ability. School and sports are two of the most important things in my life meaning I will dedicate my time and hard work endlessly towards them.
