One of my goals beyond finding the right academic fit, is to continue playing tennis at a high level. I love being on the court and competing. I am the happiest when I am on the tennis court. I know how important UTR is and will be working very hard to improve it.
I did not start playing USTA matches competitively until 7th grade. I was involved in other sports up until that time. I moved up in rankings from 100 to #11 in 16U for state of WI. My coaches feel that I have a lot of upside potential and that I am "under the radar". They like how I “hit out” and feel I have all the shots to compete at a high level. Although starting late put me a bit behind in the rankings, I am catching up to higher rated players and I am not burned out on playing from such a young age.
I am currently attending IMG Academy through May 2022 for my senior year. This will allow me to be on the courts every day and improve all aspects of my game (3 hours of tennis and 1 hour of fitness daily). Training includes leadership, mental toughness and nutrition. Also, IMG will host up to 2 internal UTR matches weekly.
