My goal is to continue to grow and improve as a tennis player at the collegiate level. Tennis has always provided me community and family wherever I go. I appreciate the structure that college sports provides student-athletes, and believe it is an advantage to have a strong support system. This support system is one I hope to be a part of even after college graduation as I plan a career in athletic training. I would love to work with tennis athletes if possible in my career.
If you see me on the court with a new opponent, I am usually initiating conversation in hopes to make a new friend. I am unique in that I appreciate the team aspect of sports even as a singles tennis player. I believe in being inclusive and mentoring newcomers to the game of tennis.
Though tennis has been the sport I've been most focused on since 4th grade, I have always been a self motivated student. While being a high-school student athlete, I have maintained an A-average at the rigorous lottery-based STEM Academy, which is Effingham College and Career Academy. I've consistently displayed excellent work ethic on and off the tennis court, and would love the opportunity to continue this at the next level.
