My name is Alexandra (Ally) Turnbough, and I am a Senior in High School. I took my first few tennis lessons when I was 5 years old. I have tried several other sports along the way but for the past 5 years tennis has been my main sport. I found my passion for it, and I really enjoy the mental and physical lessons I get from it. I am constantly working on and off the court in order to reach my goal of playing tennis in college.
I’ve learned the importance of comradery and confidence through my success playing on my club tennis league, my high school team and playing in individual tournaments. I love the individuality tennis brings and the frequent opportunities it gives me to learn new things on and off court. I also enjoy learning from my peers.
My determination in tennis translates into my work ethic in my schoolwork. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while being active in different academic and social clubs throughout high school such as National Honors Society, Beta Club, and Spanish Club. I love pushing myself and others around me in all areas of life.
