I have been playing tennis since I was 10 years old. I fell in love with tennis because I struggled academically in school. Tennis was a sport, that helped me make smart decisions on the court, as well as in the classroom. My first success in tennis was being on a Usta JTT 12u tennis team where my teammates depended on each other to win the state Championship, go to Sectionals and Nationals. I loved the rewards that came from team spirit.
I understand the importance of giving back to the community. I feel that is our civic duty to give back to the community in some way, which is why I pride myself on the community service and volunteer work I have done, with South Fulton Excellent Team program in bringing tennis to disadvantage children. I plan to bring my holistic/community-driven mindset to the team that I commit too.
I believe that I would be a great addition to the team because I am, coachable, hard-working, and competitive. I listen well, and I am a team player. I will represent the team and University with great honor and respect. I am looking for a tennis scholarship in order to combine tennis at the highest level with a college degree. My ultimate goal is to be a major contributor towards a team championship, which is why I am Interested in going to a university that supports the competitive nature of their athletic programs.
