I attend Statesboro High School and belong to the class of 2025. I have been playing tennis since 6th grade have been taking it seriously for the past 3 years. I play USTA or UTR tournaments on a regular basis. I have been on our local 18U Junior Team Tennis Team since I was 13 years old, winning our region and going to state every year. I train 6 days a week and when not practicing with my high school team, I trained with Georgia Southern’s head men's tennis coach. After he moved to the University of Florida, I began training with two of the GSU female starters. As a freshman and sophomore, I played number 2 singles for Statesboro High. I finished my season with an undefeated record (15-0) and was selected 1st Team 2nd Singles in GHSA Region 2AAAAAA. I was 16-1 as a sophomore and earned 1st Team 2nd Singles honors in GHSA Region1AAAAA. During the 2024 season, I was first singles with a record of 18-5, named Statesboro High Tennis Player of the Year 2024 and earned my 50th high school win. That win moved our team to the Elite 8 of the state tournament and that was the first time since 2009.
I am an honors student and motivated to succeed academically. I currently have a 4.0+ GPA . I consider myself to be a very well rounded person. I participate in theater and take voice and guitar lessons. I am also a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, and I am very involved in my church. I keep a busy schedule giving tennis lessons, babysitting, and volunteering as well. I believe these activities and jobs are helping me develop the time management skills I will need as a college athlete.
My goal is to play tennis at the collegiate level. I feel that being part of a team would give me the structure that I need to succeed in college. I am a very social person and love seeing and helping my teammates do well. It would be a dream come true to start as a freshman, but I also know my place on the team and am determined to earn my spot.
