My name is Ava Grzesik, tennis has always been a passion in my life and one of the major goals that pushed me to achieve many accomplishments both on and off the court. Although a sport I have learned many valuable lessons in tennis and I carry that knowledge with me as I go through life, not only providing me with knowledge, fun, and competition tennis gave me a family and my bestfriends that I would have never met if I didn't play the sport we make sure to push each other and grind through any difficult situations. Working best under pressure tennis has made me flourish in school with the experience of a high stakes tiebreaker during districts that knowledge helps me manage my stress with taking 5 AP classes. Having a past of injuries my drive to get better and beat the me I was yesterday to continue to excel makes me a great candidate for colligate tennis. I continued to run and show up to practice even on the days I didn't have the motivation to go because discipline is permanent and motivation comes and goes especially after returning from a hard injury. While my UTR has suffered due to my injuries' my positive outlook on getting better each day helps me balance out my negative feelings. While tennis is my whole life even though I began as a late bloomer I believe with my can do attitude the only thing in my way of success is me, I push harder each day to achieve my goals and try to make today's practice better then yesterdays. I always make sure to accomplish and get done what needs to get done there is no quitting in my book and the importance of a positive outlook on tennis is key to success. With these traits and attributes I believe I can become the moldable athlete every coach dreams of in collegiate tennis.
