My name is Elle McMullen, I'm 16 years old and attend Lawrenceburg High School. I was a 3 sport , year-round athlete before tearing my ACL at the end of my 8th-grade year playing soccer. I devoted the entire next year to rehabilitating my knee so that I could return, equally as good or better, to the sports I love to play. So far it has paid off. As a sophomore, I started on the varsity team for soccer and helped lead them to the regional finals playing as a forward. I decided to give up basketball, so I would have more time to dedicate to becoming a better tennis player. It was not a decision I took lightly since I had played basketball starting at the age of 5. After joining a local tennis club, I knew I had made the right decision for me. Tennis was quickly becoming my favorite sport. I had never wanted to be so good at a sport before. I knew that playing a skilled sport like tennis was going to take a lot of time on the court to become the player I wanted to be. I will dedicate the next two years to make sure I achieve the goals I have set for myself in this sport and hope it pays off with a chance to play at the collegiate level. I also believe I have a lot more than just athleticism to offer any university or college. I am extremely competitive and that's not a quality that I apply just to sports. I want to be the best at everything I do. I work extremely hard in all of my courses, which has helped lead to my 4.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I have not even allowed myself an A- in any subject in high school. I was also nominated to the HOPE SQUAD team by my peers. This is a group of students that were selected by their peers to serve on a suicide prevention team. I am very proud of this nomination. I'm also a Christian that takes my faith very seriously. I think once you make the decision to meet with me and get to know me personally, you will agree that I would be a great asset to your team.
I appreciate the time you have taken to read about me personally.
