Giulia Rebecca Piattella '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Rebecca and I live in Milan, Italy. I started playing tennis at the age of 6 with my dad, in a very funny and strange way: my parents used to go to the psycologist to understand why I didn't have a nice relation with my dad. He used to work in London and came back to Italy only during the weekend, so that I didn't know him as well. My father used to play tennis very well and he also teached this sport, so the psycologist told him to do something to create a nice relation with me and he took me to a tennis court. From that day, I cannot live without my racket and I hold a lot to my father and my family. I am a very determinate person, but creative at the same time; I'm strong, but those who know me well, know that I also have a great sensible and emotional side. 

Furthermore, I am the kind of person Who loves to be around people and establish some good relashionships with them. I travelled a lot and this has allowed me to grow and mature as person. I have a great sense of leader, and I hope to grow with you. Here in Italy we study a lot and we don't have so much time to dedicate to sports and freetime. Is becoming a very difficult route, but I won't give up as many do in my country.
