Personal Statement
I'm a high school senior from Bangalore, India looking to start college in the United States in the Fall of 2021 with a major in Applied Mathematics. I'm a student at Bishop Cotton Girls' School with my current subjects being Math, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and English.
I've been playing tennis for the past eight years, and I currently train 30 hours a week at the Peter Burwash International (PBI) Tennis Academy here in Bangalore. I play professionally at the national and international levels and have been ranked in the Top 15 in the country.
I'm a hard-worker, and I don't shy away from challenges. I work well in a team and I'm sympathetic to the needs of others. I like to laugh and have fun but I also know when to be serious.
My favorite subjects are Math, Physics, and Computer Science; I've always been fascinated by numbers and their magical powers. The beauty of the universe never ceases to amaze me and I always look for opportunities to learn more about it. I'm also extremely intrigued by the origin of life. Although my main interests lie in math and science, I like to learn about other topics like law, psychology, politics, and history as well. When I'm not playing tennis or studying, I like to read, write, bake, swim, and solve math problems.
