Personal Statement

I have been training at an elite academy since I was 10 years old and have a strong passion for tennis. I would love to go to an American college to further progress my skills as an athlete as well as engage in American culture. I also love getting involved in school with extracurricular activities. I believe I am very dedicated to my studies and have the potential to grow as an athlete as well as a student. I believe studying abroad will encourage me to develop my character and establish lasting friendships. I have shown great leadership skills from a younger age, being the captain of my school's open team since grade 9. I am a role model for all of the younger St Aidan's girls and I believe my values are a vital contribution to a team.

I have a very solid serve and forehand which helps me to dominate the court. I also love playing doubles as well as singles and am very good at poaching at the net. I hope to play at a very competitive collegiate level as I love playing in a team atmosphere.

I hope to get into a college that will continue to push me and set hard challenges on the court as well as in the classroom.
