Personal Statement
As a child, I played a lot of sports. Right from basketball to 100m sprinting, I never missed the opportunity to participate in an athletic event.
At the age of 12, was when I first picked up a racket. Unlike the other kids at my club, I was always considered a late starter but that never stopped me from reaching my true potential in this fantastic sport.
I have always worked very hard to become the best tennis player I possibly can and learn from all the ups and downs that I have faced as a junior competitor at ITF, national and college tournaments . Tennis has taught me to be disciplined, focused and confident both on and off the court and enjoy the competitive spirit the sport has to offer.
My goal is to play college tennis and pursue academics, both at a high level. As an incoming transfer athlete I believe I have gained the necessary experience and background to thrive in competitive situations and am determined to continue to perform well in both areas throughout the rest of my college experience so that I develop into a well-rounded student-athlete and contribute to the success of my college.
