Personal Statement
I have many goals for college such as improving my tennis, broadening my skills and learning how to better my overall game. I am a good candidate for college as I am willing to work hard and always give of my best when it comes to anything such as academics, sports and friends. Im always positive and I am able to find a way if something isn't working for example if Im playing a match and nothing seems to be going my way. My personality is out going, bubbly, confident and kind. When it comes to listening to others advice or being coachable I am always willing to participate and engage. I am very diligent when it comes to academics and getting my work done on time. Recently this year I played against the number number 3 seed and I had won the first set 7-6 but during that tie break I tore my calf muscle which lead to me retiring from the match and tournament. I was out for 3 months doing rehab, physio and mental work. This taught me to stay positive and work through the hard times and not dwell on the past, thinking how I could have beaten a top player in South Africa. It taught me to move on and learn how to tackle future obstacles ahead as well as not giving up when times get hard. My dream is to go to college and play tennis.
