I experienced being a part of a team when I was younger, unfortunately my team mates were better that me at playing singles and didn't let me play neither in singles or doubles. I felt devastated, but I didn't give up. Four years later I won the Madrid Doubles Championship in Sophomore year with my sister. This made an impact on the way I saw myself as a tennis player, it helped me believe in myself and feel part of a team for the first time.
Now I am a better player, currently ranked 153 in Spain, and I haven't stopped training to improve my game, but most importantly I feel comfortable with it. Last year I ended up being first in the Race to the Madrid Masters 2019. I have recently played some very tight matches against higher ranked players, some of which I won. Nonetheless, I still want to be a part of a team, feel the tension when losing but be proud and happy when winning. I would like to study an engineering or computer science major, as I have always liked computers and sciences. I have also been to several engineering camps. I always give my best to try and get better at everything I do, not only in sport but academically as well. I know I have what it takes!
