Personal Statement

  • MY DREAMS WILL SOON BE A REALITY !!

I’ve always believed that growth comes not from avoiding challenges, but from confronting them head-on, no matter how impossible they may seem. As a young girl, I was determined to never be held back by limits—whether those limits were the walls of my home, the boundaries of what I knew, or the expectations others had of me. My name, Hadassah Grace, has become synonymous with persistence, resilience, and a drive to be the best version of myself, whether on the tennis court or in my everyday life. Tennis has taught me the value of hard work and the strength that comes from facing adversity. It’s not just about competing with others, but about pushing my own boundaries and striving to achieve greatness.

From a young age, I was eager to learn. My mother says I started school early because I couldn’t bear staying home alone, but in truth, I was hungry for knowledge and wanted to experience the world beyond what I already knew. My desire to learn and grow has been a constant theme in my life, and it continues to shape my approach to everything I do, especially tennis.

Turning pro and playing at the highest levels of tennis is my ultimate dream. Though I’ve only been playing for a few years, I’ve faced challenges that have tested my resilience. Competing against some of the best players in the world has been the hardest yet most rewarding experience. There have been moments when I’ve known victory was out of reach, yet I never gave up. I always give my best, because I know that true strength comes from pushing through those impossible moments.

Through tennis, I’ve learned invaluable life lessons. It’s not just about winning—it’s about discipline, respect, and the ability to rise after each defeat. I’ve learned that fear is just a small challenge to overcome, and that with control and determination, I can accomplish anything. These values are not just present in my sport, but in all aspects of my life. Whether I’m helping classmates with their studies, sharing a laugh with friends, or supporting my family, I approach everything with the same dedication.

My mother has always given me everything she could, teaching me to care for others and to strive to be the best version of myself. Seeing her work tirelessly to provide for our family and watching my brother’s hard work inspire me every day gives me the drive to pursue my passion for tennis and beyond.

Despite facing challenges, including the financial strain of pursuing a tennis career, I remain committed to finding a way to turn my dreams into reality. I am actively seeking a scholarship to help further my education and athletic career, and I believe that with the right support, I can achieve my goals and contribute to your college community.

I am confident that, if given the opportunity, I will be the best version of myself at your college. I will work tirelessly, push myself to new heights, and leave a lasting impact on those around me and further be a role model to the younger generation especially the girl child . The values of hard work, respect, and kindness that have shaped me will never fade, no matter the circumstances. I am ready to take on the challenges ahead, and I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your campus and grow as both a student and an athlete.
