Personal Statement

I am 17 years old and I am working to gain a US college tennis scholarship in January or the Fall of 2015. I will graduate St Mary's College in Auckland, New Zealand in December 2014.

Originally from Russia, I moved to New Zealand aged 11. I began playing tennis in Russia when I was 5. My current New Zealand national ranking is 12 and my current international ITF junior ranking is 1700 (highest ITF ranking 1100). My dreams and aspirations are to continue improving my tennis skills while at the same time achieving a good quality education. I truly believe that I have the necessary sporting and academic ability to not only succeed in a US college environment but to also be an asset to a US college program.
