Personal Statement
- I have been playing tennis since I was 5. My end goal is to make it pro but I would also like to finish a degrees hence why I think collage would be the best opportunity for me to do so. I was ranked in the top 250 of Australia (open age) and 13 in my state. I’ve been playing tournaments since I was 11 and ITFS since I was 16.
- I currently do not have an ITF rank but have played a few and am hoping to continue playing more in the future. i never had the luxury to travel around and play many due to school. However I have represented Australia in team state events and played multiple state championships tournaments. I have won multiple junior tournaments and I currently have a UTR of 7.6. I understand that most d1 collages look for students with higher UTR however I have a lot of abilities to offer.
- I work hard on and off the court and I’ve always been seen as a team leader. I'm a real team player and love a team environment I’m very dedicated and very good at communicate issues. I currently coach so I know i have the ability to showcase multiple skills and abilities I have learnt and teaches. I’m extremely fit and flexible and use that to an advantage when I play. As well as that I was known in my state to have one of the strongest and fastest first serves and an extremely good slice. Both my forehand and backhand are very solid and I can grind on a court for hours. I can play both aggressive and defensive tennis and I know when both should be played.
