I started playing tennis at the age of 4 and have been training in Antigua with Coach Cordell Williams Sr. In an effort to increase my exposure to the game, I travelled to the US in summers of 2017, 2018 and 2019 where I trained with Coach Bill Adams at the Bill Adams Tennis Academy in Florida. Starting September 2020, I have been training with Coach Adams full time.
While at the academy, I have played some USTA tournaments; my highest UTR was a 7. Growing up in the Caribbean, I played numerous ITF tournaments and my highest ranking was 1716. In 2018 I represented my country in the CAC games in Columbia where I was the youngest player.
Outside of tennis, I enjoy volunteering. I was Vice President of my high school’s Interact Club (the junior arm of Rotary International), where our focus was on community service. Following the mantra “Service Above Self” we organized various outreach programs focusing on the elderly, such as visiting retirement homes, volunteering at fundraisers for the Hospice and singing Christmas Carols at an elderly home. I also played a key role in ensuring our school understood the importance of the environment by hosting a recycling competition.
