My name is Madison Ericson and I have competed in tennis since a very young age. Apart from tennis I also trained and competed in gymnastics until age of 15. Gymnastics gave me a very sound physical foundation and balance which greatly complemented the somewhat less balanced strains in tennis training.
I am now fully focused on developing, competing and pursuing tennis in addition to my school. I am born in New York and a US citizen, but has lived majority of my life in Sweden. In Sweden I live in Stockholm.
Sweden does not have high school tennis teams, but rather club teams. I play for Sollentuna tennis club and has been leader of the women's team there for the past three years. The girls in our team has often looked to me for leadership and I have enjoyed that. Pursuing a college tennis career I think those experiences will help me in the strong team culture that exist in college tennis.
I train with the club but in addition to that I also qualified to train at the most succesful tennis academy in Sweden ; Good to Great. https://goodtogreat.se/en/academy/
In summary I am a very ambitious, team oriented and loyal aspiring tennis player. I believe college tennis is a great path for me in order to both pursue my tennis development and also get a high quality education
