Alaisha Shukla '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing tennis since I was 8 years old here in Australia. After Covid-19 hit, I switched from my old club to a new one, Meehan Tennis Academy. I love sports in general, and often find myself contemplating whether or not I've chosen the right one. I also enjoy playing cricket and soccer alongside tennis. This is why I idolize Ash Barty and Ellyse Perry, they get to compete for their country while doing multiple things they love. Soccer comes naturally to me, much unlike tennis and cricket, which I have to work hard for and that's why I'm also working towards playing soccer professionally one day. My ultimate goal is to play tennis (or soccer (hopefully both)) professionally for my country and become one of the greatest players of all time. To achieve this, I need to be confident, determined, resilient, and a bit stubborn. I'm all of those things and more. I currently play tennis, cricket, and soccer for my high school in Melbourne, and I'm always striving to improve my skills. But I'm not just an athlete. I also excel in my studies, maintaining high grades in all my subjects. I know how to balance my academic and sporting life while still making time for my personal and social life. All of these qualities make me a valuable candidate for your team. I'm not afraid of hard work, and I'll do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. I'm a team player, but I'm also fiercely independent. I know that I have what it takes to make it to the top, and I hope that you'll give me the chance to prove it.
