Tennis has taught me more than just hitting a forehand, it has taught me how to be a good player on the court, and how to be a good person off the court. I first started playing tennis when I was five years old. At the time, I just played tennis for a way to get exercise and for fun. I never thought tennis would bring me to such a competitive atmosphere mentally and physically. I have joined USTA now for almost nine years and I couldn’t have been more grateful to meet such amazing people, players, officials, and the sacrifices my parents made in order for me to get the best opportunities for my tennis.
I am 14 now playing up in the 16s and 18s; however, I enjoy playing kids that are older because it gives me a challenge and I have nothing to lose. I am very coachable and a hard worker. In the classroom, I work hard as a student to keep my GPA stable and improve it, I also challenge myself with advanced classes. I am teachable and not afraid to ask for help.
