I am driven by being part of something bigger than myself and individual success. I always have enjoyed being part of a team, whether it's high school tennis, club academy, or a group project at school. No matter the situation, I thrive when I'm part of a unified group with a common goal. One of the most distinct qualities that people often remark about me is my work ethic. I never give anything less than my best effort, especially when it comes to meeting (or exceeding) the expectations of mentors, coaches, or teachers. Rarely will I back down from a challenge or give up on my goals, no matter what stumbling blocks may fall in my path.
I have been blessed to be part of a talented and successful high school tennis team, as we are 2017, 2018, and 2019 State Champions. Freshman year my partner and I placed 3rd in doubles, and Junior year we placed 2nd in doubles, losing a very close three-setter in the finals. I am on the KTCA All-State Tennis Team for 2019, and I have also been selected as a Best of Kansas Preps Girls Tennis All-Star Athlete for the 2019-20 school year. My work ethic is visible in my progress, with my Missouri Valley Ranking increasing last year from 168 to 60 in only six months. Aside from tennis and fitness, I am very passionate and interested in science, helping others to live healthier lives, and working with children. I plan to major in pre-medicine, biology, or chemistry.
