Hello My name is Madalynne. This year will be my senior year 2023-2024 I am on JV as a senior.I have played tennis since my freshman year of high school. I want to become an engineer when i grow and get my bachelor degree in the Mechanical engineering field. I am a left handed tennis player who plays doubles but can also achieve singles when needed.I started playing tennis my freshman year on JV B team while Covid 19 happened my season got cut short but I continued to strive to my fullest ability and work towards achieving and being the best tennis player I could be for my team and myself. My sophomore year I tried out again for tennis and as a sophomore I made JV B team again but not only was Covid 19 a struggle my former coach resigned from being the JV B coach. Adapting to a new coach a new style of coaching and new environment was a challenge but I kept a positive attitude towards my team and self. At the end of the season I was one of the top players on my team earning several medals and a trophy for the team. Finishing up my Junior year of tennis on JV I played Exhibition doubles majority of this season but it didn’t stop me from playing to my fullest ability and I challenged and fought to get a spot to play for points this season. I competed in 2 tournaments this season one tournament I won 3rd place overall out of 8 schools and the last tournament of the season I took on a challenge for a local team Bloomfield Hills subbing for there #2 singles. I ended up loosing all 3 matches but I was proud that I didn’t give up and continued to fight no matter how hard it was I did my best I could for there team and me personally as a player since I am used to playing doubles. I look for to what the future has for my senior year 2023-2024 spring season. What makes my a good candidate for the team is I have good sportsmanship, always wanting to improve my skills and take criticism as a way of learning. Doing my best even though it might seem tough I get back up on my feet and continue to play to my fullest potential and always positive. What makes me different in character from others is I am always willing to take the next step and go above and beyond what it take for the team or me personally. I always have a smile on my face even though things might get tough or frustrating I continue to play my fullest ability. I am academic always trying to improve myself in areas I need to grow and going above and beyond what the teacher has asked for. I am willing to help other people around me and still have a balance between others and me. I will always be a cheerleader know matter what our sports team does. I care and respect all my teammates to the fullest ability. Let’s go have an amazing season. During off season of tennis I still continue to play but also get prepared for cross country season in the fall. Look forward to connecting and building up a relationship with whatever college you might be. Failure is just a way of getting stronger and better if you never fail then you never know what you can do better on. No one is perfect it’s okay to make mistakes it’s part of life. Thank you for your time and effort of looking at my profile and have a wonderful day.
