I have been playing tennis recreationally since I was 5, but didn't get really serious until high school when I played on my first team. That summer I wanted to get better and ended up playing in a program of only varsity guys. It was challenging and at times frustrating, however, I think that pushing myself is one of the best things I can bring to a team. Working as hard as I can to improve and help the team improve is really important to me. I moved schools after 9th grade and now that I play year-round, have definitely increased my tennis skills with group and private lessons.
