I am Marta, I am 16 years old, and I am junior, last year I came to the USA to live the experience of going out of my house, being independent, and feeling about what is real life, I did not expect I have one of my best years of my life as I have it. I also came to learn English and continue my studies while I play tennis. I have played tennis since I was 4 years old, tennis is part of my life, I think an aspect that describes me is that I try my hardest always, it does not matter to me if I am losing 6-0 5-0 that I would try until the game is over, also in the practice I always try my best to improve as much as I can. This is my second year as a boarding student in New York, last year I was named co-captain of the girls tennis team, and this year I have been named captain of it. For me been part of a tennis team is been a family, I always try to be close to each other, and support all my teammates. Thinking about been part of a tennis team in a college in the USA is my dream, since I am little I always dream about studying in the USA, and part of it had came true, because I am already studying here, but the studying and playing tennis in college in the USA is absolutely my dream.
Talking about studies, for me is also very important. My parents always told me that the most important thing that now I have to do is study. I try to always give my best and have the best grade I can. Also, my brother has been an example for me in studies and tennis, I started playing tennis because of him, and in the part of study and grades I always say that I want to be like him, have the grade as good as him. So studies for me is so important in all the aspects.
